Katy's research services are available in hourly blocks billed at $80/hour.
Packages usually start at 15 hours ($1,200), but Katy will help you figure out how much time is needed for your specific goals.

STRATEGY SESSIONS
If you prefer to research on your own but need advice, Katy offers one-on-one Zoom calls to walk you through where you're stuck. In this package you'll receive:

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Katy is available for public speaking at genealogy conferences, and for genealogy society, historical society, podcast, or family association nationwide.
Katy also offers 2-for-1 "all dayer" in-person genealogy event packages in partnership with fellow genealogist and PA German expert James M. Beidler.

SETTING EXPECTATIONS
Please note: Email is Katy's primary means of communication. She is unable to accept clients who do not use email.
Having things in writing is the most efficient and convenient way for her to manage client correspondence. We all benefit from a paper trail! Email-based communication also allows Katy to maintain a focused and distraction-free work environment which is critical to high-quality research.
While there certainly may be times when a phone or video call is the best option, this will be rare and by appointment only. Thank you!
HOURLY RATES
Research services are available in hourly blocks. Prices start at $80/hour. Custom family history research projects start at $1,200 for 15 hours. (For ancestors born before 1850, a package of 20 hours ($1,600) is preferred. But Katy can work with your budget!
GENEALOGY RESEARCH IS AN INVESTMENT
Katy believes strongly that being up front about what’s realistic helps both the genealogist and client be satisfied with the results! Be sure to let her know everything you already know about your target ancestor and the research you've already accomplished.

TURNAROUND TIME
Most projects take 8-12 weeks, though larger or more complex projects may take longer. Each family is unique and requires a different research strategy. Quality work takes time!
